A) The Chamber is a member -driven organization comprised of 400+ business enterprises, civic organizations, educational institutions, elected officials, and individuals. The Greater Federal Way Chamber has been creating economic prosperity in Federal Way since 1953. B) The City supports the success of the business community through benefits, programs, services, and events offered by the Chamber as part of its commitment to enhance economic development in Federal Way. NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows: 1. The City's investment of $15,000 is renewable annually and supports a comprehensive program of work which leverages the talents and expertise of Chamber members and other stakeholders to create a climate of growth and success for the Federal Way business base. 2. The annual investment is part of a nonrefundable branded marketing program and does not include advertising and/or sponsorship specific to any event or program at the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. 3. Focused on critical business and civic issues, the Chamber shall provide to its full membership a range of leadership and volunteer opportunities, business -building and training programs, enhanced marketing outreach, and educational and networking events. 4. It is understood that elected officials at the City will participate in Quarterly Updates at the Chamber, scheduled in 2021 on the dates listed below. At this time, the Quarterly Updates will be held virtually, via ZOOM. a. Wednesday, March 9, 8 a.m. b. Wednesday, June 15, 8 a.m. c. Wednesday, September 14, 8 a.m. d. Wednesday, December 14, 8 a.m. 5. Full membership status is accorded to the elected officials of the City of Federal Way as well as its administration, i.e., department heads, who shall be eligible to participate in a range of services, programs, events, and all related discounts offered by the Chamber throughout the year.
