Nancy,
We have received AT&T’s design drawings with proposed installation of Wireless Equipment, on
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) owned Distribution Pole, located at above address.
As you know, the primary usage of the pole shall remain as part of an electrical
transmission/distribution system, with the installed wireless equipment as a secondary function.
A review of the antenna configuration AT&T proposes to install will be performed by PSE’s
approved engineering service provider, with structural loading developed by PSE, using the
wireless equipment loads provided by AT&T and in accordance with the National Electric Safety
Code, EIA/TIA Standard 222-G, as well as electrical industry standards.
Under the IBC section 105 of the 2015 code, public service entities are exempt from the permitting
provisions of the IBC and as such no calculations are required to be provided to the permitting
agency. Any installation of antennas and co-axial cables will be completed by PSE approved
construction personnel. The structural design and installation when completed will comply with
recognized national standards for the structural requirements and meet all utility code and
industry requirements.
