Project Narrative 21-104889
The intent of this project is to lease and install three temporary Wilscott office trailers at Steel
Lake park located at 2410 S 312th St, Federal Way, WA 98003, parcel number 0921049026.
This is a time sensitive project that has mayoral priority as the need for these trailers is to
house displaced park’s maintenance staff that have been without proper housing for over
21 months due to Covid 19.
The trailers will be positioned on the west side of the park by 24th Ave S in an open area
roughly 200’ south of the existing wood shop building. They will be set in a courtyard like
fashion as space allows. See site plan. Power, water, and sewer will be supplied via 24th
Ave S. Ground beneath trailers will be leveled with 5/8 minus crushed rock.
Upon the City of Federal Way acquiring new permanent housing for park’s staff, these
trailers will be removed. This process could take between 18-36 months.
