Currently assigned to the Violent Crime Unit at the Regional Justice
Center in Kent, WA. Prosecuting complex felony cases, including
homicides and sex crimes, in Washington State Superior Court.
Reviewing cases submitted by numerous local police agencies, advising
law enforcement officers during criminal investigations, and making
charging decisions. Preparing briefs and arguing appeals before the
Washington State Court of Appeals and Washington State Supreme
Court. Handling probation violation hearings, arraignments calendars,
bond calendars, plea calendars and probable cause hearings on a
weekly basis.

prosecuting felony firearm cases in U.S. District Court. Reviewed cases _- _
submitted by numerous federal agencies, advised law enforcement
officers during criminal investigations and presented cases to the Grand
Jury. Handled U.S. Probation violation hearings, initial appearances,
detention hearings, and arraignments. Prepared, reviewed and
presented search warrants and Grand Jury Subpoenas. Acted as a
liaison between the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and the

Served two three-year terms as a felony trial judge. Presided over active
duty military felony trials in Special and General Courts -Martial in the 4th

Prior assignments included: Commander of a military legal unit in
California, supervising approximately forty-five attorneys, paralegals and
enlisted support personnel; Regional Defense Counsel, supervising all
Army Reserve defense counsel in the region (Washington, Alaska, Idaho,
Oregon and Hawaii).
