• Caps are on both public services and planning and administration
• City grant funding has a generalist approach.
Homelessness is part of both the Human Services General
Fund (HSGF) grant strategies and Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Strategies.
• There needs to be services to help people experiencing
homelessness address needs and causes of homelessness in
order to obtain housing as well as mitigate impacts on
community.
• Community Services focuses on services for individuals at
risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Housing
• Health through Housing Update:
• Anticipated end to services for Afghan Refugees
• Provider Selection: to be conducted from an eligible provider pool list.
• Potential timeframe for services is not known at this time until King
County is able to have any rehabilitation completed once the property is
vacant and dependent on provider selection.
• Percentage of units
• Written agreements for residents: this will be completed when the
provider is selected.
• Density of services in neighborhoods: it does not increase density and
allows no more units to be built than the underlying zone. Attached
dwellings are only allowed in RS-5, duplexes only would be allowed
within set requirements. Anything bigger would be in multi -family only.
Except for transitional housing (FUSION being only or primary
provider), current service models don't allow for single family homes
due to operating costs and staffing requirements.
