SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
City Hall — Council Chambers
March 1, 2021 — 5:00 p.m.
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Deputy Mayor Honda called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.
City officials in attendance: Council President Linda Kochmar, Deputy Mayor Susan Honda,
Councilmember Lydia Assefa-Dawson, Councilmember Erica Norton, and Councilmember
Jack Dovey.
City staff in attendance: City Attorney Ryan Call and City Clerk Stephanie Courtney.
Deputy Mayor Honda excused Councilmember Tran and Councilmember Walsh absence.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
3. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The City Council interviewed applicants in person for openings on the Lodging Tax Advisory
Committee, Arts Commission, Senior Advisory Commission, Youth Commission, and Steel
Lake Management District Advisory Committee.
Councilmember Walsh joined the meeting at 5:34 p.m.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 5:50 p.m. Council President Kochmar announced the Council would recess to Executive
Session for the purpose of evaluating Property Acquisition Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b).
Mayor Ferrell joined the meeting in executive session.
5. ADJOURNMENT
There being nothing further on the agenda; the special meeting was adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
