Mobile methadone vans in Federal Way would be another step backwards in our steps to make
Federal Way a better place.
If we allow them, we would add them to the list of failed attempts to put a lid on the opioid
epidemic we are already facing.
Maybe these kinds of programs would be better in controlled environments, not in parking lots of
our businesses and neighborhoods in our city.
With open-air drug abuse, businesses are already suffering because of an influx of drug -
impacted people. We should not be adding another layer of complexity to the problem by
bringing in mobile methadone.
