I.
CALL TRAINING SESSION TO ORDER
A City Council training session was called to order by Nayor Bob Stead at the
hour of 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 8,1992, in Council Chambers, Federal
Way City Hall, 33530 First Way South, Federal Way, Washington. Councilmembers
present: Nary Gates, Ron Gintz and Skip Priest. Councilmember Tomlinson arrived
at approximately 11:00 a.m. Councilmembers absent: Deputy Nayor Joel Narks and
Lynn Templeton. Staff present: J. Brent NcFall, City Nanager; Carolyn Lake,
Acting City Attorney, and Naureen Swaney, City Clerk. Also present: David
Larson and John Terry (Ethics Board) and representatives from the Parks
Commission, Planning Commission and Human Services Commission.
II.
ETHICS WORKSHOP
Professor John Strait, UPS Law School and a member of the Ethics Board of the
Port of Seattle, reviewed ethics issues.
Carolyn Lake reviewed Open Neetings Law and Appearance of Fairness issues.
The scheduled training session on Robert's Rules of Order was delayed to a future
meeting.
III.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 12:05 p.m.
