MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Gates opened the study session of the Federal Way City Council at 6:05 p.m., in Council
Chambers, City Hall, Federal Way, Washington.
City Council present: Mayor Mary Gates, Deputy Mayor Phil Watkins, Council members Jack
Dovey, Hope Elder, Ron Gintz, Skip Priest, Ray Tomlinson.
City Staff present: City Manager Ken Nyberg, City Attorney Londi Lindell, Deputy City Clerk
Chris Green.
II.
REGIONAL ISSUE
Regional Transit Authority (RTA)
Mayor Gates introduced Barbara Gilliland, RTA South Corridor Led Planner, and Jan
Hendrickson, RTA Finance Director, who briefed Council on the authority's latest proposal, and
responded to a variety of Council questions. They also distributed copies of the February 1995
Regional Transit System Proposal. Chamber representative Bob Griebenow also responded to
Council inquiries.
III.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Gates adjourned the study
