City Council study Session
Administration Conference Rm
February 1 and 2, 1995
The Federal Way City Council met in study Session on February 1,
1995, at the hour of 2:00 p.m. through 5:50 p.m., and on February
2, 1995, from the hour of 2:00 p.m. through 8:30 p.m., in the
Administration Conference Room, city Hall, for the purpose of
interviewing City Commission Candidates. Attached hereto and
made a part of the minutes is the interview schedule.
Present for the interviews were Mayor Mary Gates and
Councilmembers Elder, Gintz, Priest and Dovey. Staff present:
Marie Mosley, Acting Assistant City Manager; Jim McNamara, Deputy
City Attorney; Maureen Swaney, City Clerk and Chris Green, Deputy
City Clerk.
The Councilmembers present concurred to recommend the following
appointments to the full City Council, at their regularly
scheduled meeting, on February 7, 1995:
HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION
Tracey Eide, Linda Ingham and Lisa Grimes for 3 year terms to
expire 12/31/97. 1st Alternate otis Dancy and 2nd Alternate
Donald Larson.
ARTS COMMISSION
Jane Yambe, Nancy Ise, Betty Huff and Joy Melgard for 3 year
terms to expire 12/31/97. Joann Piquette to fill a vacancy for a
term to expire 12/31/95. Alternate Donna Welch.
DIVERSITY COMMISSION
Elsie Dennis, Ross Papa and Howard Stallings for 3 years terms to
expire 12/31/97. Amy VinceC nd Arthur Krueger to fill
vacancies for terms to e re 12/ 1/95 Alternate Pam English.
