SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

April 19, 2022 — 5:00 p.m.
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Deputy Mayor Honda called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
City officials in attendance: Deputy Mayor Susan Honda, Councilmember Lydia Assefa-
Dawson, Councilmember Hoang Tran, Councilmember Jack Walsh, and Councilmember
Jack Dovey. Councilmember Erica Norton participated remotely via zoom.
City staff in attendance: Interim City Administrator Brian Davis, City Attorney Ryan Call,
and City Clerk Stephanie Courtney.
Deputy Mayor Honda excused Council President Kochmar absence.
2. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The Council interviewed applicants for the Parks & Recreation, Diversity, Historic
Landmarks, and Human Services Commission as well as the Lodging Tax Advisory
Committee.
Councilmember Tran left the meeting at 5:48 p.m.
3. EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 6:12 p.m. Deputy Mayor Honda announced the Council would recess to Executive
Session for the purpose of Collective Bargaining Pursuant to RCW 42.30.140(4)(b) for
approximately 20 minutes.
Mayor Ferrell, Councilmember Tran and Council President Kochmar joined the meeting
during the executive session.
4. ADJOURNMENT
There being nothing further on the agenda; the special meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
