MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Councilmember Hope Elder called the meeting to order at 5 :04 p.m.
The following Councilmembers were present: Mayor Mary Gates, Deputy Mayor Phil Watkins,
Councilmember Michael Park.
The following city personnel were present: Deputy City Clerk Bob Baker.

YOUTH COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The following individuals were interviewed for vacancies on the Youth Commission:
Kelly Weitz, Darin Clarke, Kate Sweeney, Anika Andrews, Joshua Baldwin, Jason Buckner,
Naazneen Siddiqui, Aafreen Siddiqui, Hollianne Monson, Matilda Gallagher, Aaron Hedges,
Cynthia Chun, Korine Relano, Naria Kim, Jason Recek and Fiona Otway.
Marissa Guy-O'Day appeared by way of application only.
Diane Kurtz did not show.

DELIBERATIONS
The interviews ended at 8:15 p.m. and deliberations began at 8:20 p.m. Voting members for the
vacancies were Phil Watkins, Michael Park and Hope Elder. Mayor Gates did not attend the
interviews in their entirety held on the 24th of August and therefore did not vote.
The following appointments were recommended to be made at the next City Council Regular
Meeting on September 5, 1995: Naazneen Siddiqui, Naria Kim, Jason Recek, Mohana Kumar,
Natalie Cruz, Phuong- Thao Hong, Catherine Nam, Kim Vu, Cynthia Chun and Fiona Otway. The
following were selected to serve as alternates: Kelly Elizabeth Thayer and Jason Buckner.
IV.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to conduct, the meeting was adjourned at 9: 12 p.m.
