MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
City Council Parks & Recreation Committee Chairman, Jack Dovey, opened the Special Meeting
of the Federal Way City Council at 4:05 p,m" in Council Chambers, City Hall, Federal Way,
Washington.
City Council present: Mayor Skip Priest, Deputy Mayor Hope Elder, Mary Gates, Jack Dovey
and Mike Park. Ron Gintz' and Phil Watkins' absences were excused.
City Staff present: City Clerk Chris Green. City Manager Ken Nyberg and City Attorney Londi
Lindell were excused by the City Council.
Parks Commission Vice-Chair, Dean McColgan, was also present.
II.
PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The following persons appeared and were interviewed: Karl Grosch, Donald Gagnon, Raymond
Brauner, Robert Douglas, Dini Duclos, Liz Marshall, Barbara Reid, Marion Bartholomew, Wayne
Agness and Max Hanley. Jerry Bollen was out of town and unable to attend and submitted his
application in lieu of his personal appearance,
III.
DELIBERATIONS
All Councilmembers present deliberated and recommended the following persons be appointed at
tonight's regular meeting: Jerry Bollen, Karl Grosch and Barbara Reid through 4/30/99; with
Marian Bartholomew as first alternate and Dini Duclos, 2nd alternate; both with terms through
4/30/99,
IV.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no further business, the special meeting of the Federal Way City Council adjourned at
6:15 p,m,
