MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Councilmember Watkins opened the special meeting at 6:00 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall,
Federal Way, Washington.
City Council present: Deputy Mayor Hope Elder, Councilmembers Ron Gintz, Phil Watkins,
Michael Park, Mary Gates and Jack Dovey.
Planning Commission Chair Bob Vaughan was also present.
City Staff present: City Clerk Chris Green. Excused were City Manager Ken Nyberg and City
Attorney Londi Lindell.
II.
PLANNING COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
Council conducted interviews with the following: Sophia McNeil, Karen Kirkpatrick and William
Drake.
III.
DELIBERATIONS
After discussion of Council, a consensus was reached to make a motion at this evening's regular
meeting to appoint Karen Kirkpatrick to a four-year term and William Drake to a four-year term
as alternate.
IV.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no other business, the special meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
