MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Councilmember Park opened the special meeting at 5:00 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall,
Federal Way, Washington.
City Council present: Mayor Mahlon "Skip" Priest, Deputy Mayor Hope Elder; Councilmembers
Michael Park, Jack Dovey and Mary Gates. Councilmembers Gintz & Watkins were not present.
Human Services Commission Chair Tracey Eide was also present.
City Staff present: City Clerk Chris Green. Excused were City Manager Ken Nyberg and Assistant
City Attorney Bonnie Lindstrom.
II.
HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
Council conducted interviews with the following: Fred Teachout, Gwen Fenbert, Delbert Hoover,
Brian Gammill, TeresaPeilley, Darren Paschke, Lisa Welch, Michael Brummitt and Molotov Pauling.
III.
DELIBERATIONS
After discussion of Council, a consensus was reached to make a motion at this evening's regular
meeting to appoint the following persons to three-year terms: Delbert Hoover, Teresa Peffley and
Lisa Welch. Brian Gammill was selected to fill an unexpired two-year term. Selected to serve as I"
alternate, with a three-year term, was Darren Paschke; 2nd alternate Gwen Fenbert and 3cd alternate
Michael Brummitt.
