CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Gintz opened the speciallstudy session of the Federal Way City Council at the hour of
4:40 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, Federal Way, Washington.
Councilmembers present: Mayor Ron Gintz, Deputy Mayor Michael Park, Councilmembers Jeanne
Burbidge, Jack Dovey, Mary Gates, Linda Kochmar and Phil Watkins.
City staff present: City Manager KelWeth E. Nyberg, Deputy City Manager Philip Keightley, City
Attorney Londi Lindell, Management Services Director Iwen Wang, Public Works Director Cary
Roe, Parks/Recreation Director Jennifer Schroder, Community Development Director Greg Moore
and City Clerk Chris Green.

1999-2000 PROPOSED BIENNIAL BUDGET
Department Presentations
The budget overview was presented by City Manager Nyberg followed by department presentations
on the proposed budget. Executive Assistant Patrick Briggs presented for the City Council and City
Manager; Director Greg Moore presented for Community Development and City Attorney Londi
Lindell presented for the Law Department. Presenters responded to a variety of Councilmember
questions.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Gintz adjourned the speciallstudy
