CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Gintz opened the special/study session of the Federal Way City Council at the hour of
5:30 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, Federal Way, Washington.
Councilmembers present: Mayor Ron Gintz, Deputy Mayor Michael Park, Councilmembers Jeanne
Burbidge, Jack Dovey, Mary Gates, Linda Kochmar and Phil Watkins.
City staff present: City Manager Kenneth E. Nyberg, Deputy City Manager Philip Keightley, City
Attorney Londi Lindell, Management Services Director Iwen Wang, Public Works Director Cary
Roe, Parks/Recreation Director Jennifer Schroder, Community Development Director Greg Moore
and City Clerk Chris Green.

1999-2000 PROPOSED BIENNIAL BUDGET
Department Presentations
City Manager Nyberg introduced the presenters on the proposed budget. Deputy Director Marie
Mosley presented for Management Services; Jennifer Schroder presented for Parks/Recreation and
Cary Roe presented for the Public Works Department. Presenters responded to a variety of
Councilmember questions.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Gintz adjourned the special/study
