MINUTES
I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Councilmember Jack Dovey opened the special meeting at 5:05 p.m., in Council Chambers, City
Hall, Federal Way, Washington.
City Council present: Mayor Ron Gintz, Deputy Mayor Michael Park, Councilmembers Jack
Dovey, Jeanne Burbidge, Mary Gates and Linda Kochmar.
Lisa Welch, Human Services Chair, was also present.
City Staff present: City Clerk Chris Green. Excused were City Manager Ken Nyberg and City
Attorney Londi Lindell.
II.
HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
Council conducted interviews with the following: Louie Liu, Ken Johnson, Donna Williams, Linda
Purlee, Richard Bye, Eric Olsen and Diane Cook.
Unable to attend a scheduled interview was Kevin King.
III.
DELIBERATIONS
After discussion of Council, a consensus was reached to make a motion at this evening's regular
meeting to appoint Diane Cook, Eric Olsen and Ken Johnson to three year-terms; and as
alternate, Richard Bye, also for a three-year term.
IV.
