FIELD TRIP

MINUTES
Members of the Federal Way City Council departed from City Hall, Federal Way, Washington, at the
hour of 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 30, 1998, for a field trip to visit the cities of Kirkland,
Redmond, Bellevue, SeaTac to view city center street guidelines for city sidewalks, business area
lighting and vegetation projects.
Present were Deputy Mayor Michael Park; Councilmembers Jeanne Burbidge, Linda Kochmar and
Phil Watkins.
Mayor Ron Gintz, Deputy Mayor Michael Park and Councilmember Mary Gates were not present.
City Staff present: Deputy City Manager Philip Keightley, Public Works Director Cary Roe,
Community Development Director Greg Moore, Street Systems Manager Ken Miller, Development
Services Manager Stephen Clifton.
Also present were Elaine Mansoor of the SeaTac Mall, Economic Development Executive Debra
Coates and Barbara Clemons of the Tacoma Tribune.
