CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Park called the special meeting of the Federal Way City Council to order at the hour of
5:35 p.m.
Counci1members present: Mayor Mike Park, Deputy Mayor Linda Kachmar, and Counci1members
Jeanne Burbidge, Mary Gates, Michael Hellickson, Dean McColgan, and Phil Watkins.
City staff present: City Manager David Moseley, Interim City Attorney Bob Sterbank, Assistant to
City Manager Derek Matlteson, Management Services Director Iwen Wang, Parks Director Jenny
Schroder, Interim Community Development Director Kathy McClung, Public Works Director
Cary Roe, Interim Public Safety Director Tom Chaney, Deputy Management Services Director
Marie Mosley, Municipal Court Judge David Tracy, Court Administrator Sandy Warter, and City
Clerk Chris Green.

2001/2002 BIENNIUM BUDGET PRESENTATIONS
Community Development Department (Kathy McClung)
Public Safety Department (Tom Chaney)
Public Works Department (Cary Roe)
Management Services Director Iwen Wang first provided Councilmembers with additional funding
information as requested at last night's special session.
City Manager Moseley then called upon the individual department directors scheduled for
tonight's proposed 2oo1-2oo2 biennium budget presentations.
At 7:20 p.m., Mayor Park announced the Council would take a 10-15 minute recess. Following
the brief recess, Mayor Park reconvened the special session at 7:35 p.m.
Upon completion of all departmental presentations, Mayor Park announced the Council has
requested an additional special budget session to discuss the requested amendments; the session
will be held on November 14, 2000, starting at 5:30 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall.

There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Park adjourned the special
