AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 90-~,
WHICH TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED PARKING ON
PORTIONS OF BOTH SIDES OF 6TH AVENUE S.W. AND
7TH WAY S.W. AND REDUCED THE SPEED LIMIT ON A
PORTION OF S. W. CAMPUS DRIVE FROM 35 MILES PER
HOUR TO 25 MILES PER HOUR; AND RE-ESTABLISHING
A 35 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT ON A PORTION OF
S . W . CAMPUS DRIVE; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,
the
City
enacted certain parking and speed
limit regulations in the interest of the public health, safety
and general welfare with respect to traffic anticipated to be
generated in connection with the Goodwill Games, and
WHEREAS, said speed limit and parking restrictions were
only
needed
for
the
duration
of
the
Goodwill
Games,
NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.
Ordinance No. 90-~ reducing the speed
limit on S.W.
campus Drive between 21st Avenue S.W.
and 1st
Avenue S.
from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour,
and
restricting parking on both sides of 6th Avenue S.W. from S. W.
346th Place to S. W. campus Drive and on both sides of 7th Way
S.W.
from 7th Place S .
W.
to S.
W.
campus
Drive
is hereby
repealed.
section 2.
A new subsection (2)
is hereby added to

of Ordinance No. 90-29 to re-establish a 35 miles
per hour speed limit on S.W. Campus Drive between 1st Avenue S.
and 21st Avenue S.W. to read as follows:

This ordinance shall be in full force and
