AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89-14,
SUBSECTION (A) OF SECTION 1, ESTABLISHING A
GENERAL PENALTY PROVISION FOR VIOLATION OF CITY
ORDINANCES WHERE A SPECIFIC PENALTY IS NOT
OTHERWISE PROVIDED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
subsection (A) of section 1 of Ordinance No.
89-14 is hereby amended to read as follows:
A.

Unless otherwise provided, any person
violating any of the provisions or failing
to comply with any of the mandatory
requirements of any ordinance of the City,
or any rule or regulation adopted by the
city council pursuant thereto, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor. Except in cases
where a different punishment is prescribed
by any ordinance of the city, any person
convicted of a misdemeanor under the
ordinances of the city shall be punished
by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or
imprisonment for a period of not more than
ninety days or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
section 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and

days after publication of an approved summary
consisting of the title to this ordinance.
