AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY,
WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE 90-61, RELATING TO
PENALTY PROVISIONS FOR VIOLATION OF FIRE LANE
ORDINANCE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 - Section 3(J) of Ordinance 90-61 is amended as follows:
1.
Violation - MÏ3åeffieMer - Infraction - Penalty. Any person who fails to mark or
maintain the marking of a Designated Fire Lane as prescribed in this Ordinance, or who
parks a vehicle in, allows the parking of a vehicle in, obstructs or allows the obstruction
of a Designated Fire Lane, is guilty of an misdeffieaRer infraction. The maximum
penalty for failing to mark or maintain the marking of a Designated Fire Lane shall be
not more than a fine of One Hundred and Fifty ($150) Dollars. The maximum penalty
for parking a vehicle in, allowing the parking of a vehicle in, obstructing, or allowing
the obstruction of a Designated Fire Lane, shall be not more than a fine of One Hundred
and Fifty ($150) Dollars. Each day or ?art of a day durin!! which the unlawful act or
violation occurs shall constitute a seDarate offense, There shall be a uenalty of Twenty
Five Dollars for failure to respond to the notice of this infraction. The local court shall
impose this monetary penalty for failure to resDond. Dursuant to RCW 46.63,110(3),
SECTION 2 - EFFECTIVE DATE - This Ordinance shall be effective five (5) days after
passage and publication of an approved summary consisting of the title to this Ordinance.
