AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE
FEDERAL WAY CITY CODE, ARTICLE II, "PARKS AND
RECREATION COMMISSION" , SECTION 11-30,
RELATING TO THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARKS
AND RECREATION COMMISSION (AMENDS ORDINANCE
9l-93).
WHEREAS, the Federal Way City Council finds that this
ordinance is in the interest of the public health, safety and
welfare; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section
1.
The Federal Way City Code Section 11-30 is
hereby amended as follows:
Sec. 11-30.
Responsibilities.
The parks and recreation commission shall have the
following responsibilities:

To hold regular public meetings at least once a
month and to keep a written record of its
proceedings which shall be a public record all in
accordance with state law;
To review and recommend on matters regarding
policies and goals of the adopted park and
recreation and open space comprehensive plan;

Section 2.
Ratification.
Any act consistent with the
authority and prior to the effective date of this ordinance is
hereby ratified. and affirmed.
Section
3.
Severability.
The provisions
of this
ordinance are declared separate and severable.
The invalidity of
any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section, or portion
of this ordinance or the invalidity of the application thereof to
any person or circumstance, shall not affect the validity of the
remainder of the ordinance, or the validity of its application to
other persons or circumstances.
section 4.
Effective Date.
This ordinance shall be
effective thirty (30) days after passage, as provided by law.
