AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, REPEALING PRIOR
ORDINANCE NO. 92-151 AND RESOLUTION 93-159,
REPEALING THE CITY'S ACTION TO ASSUME THE
FEDERAL WAY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Federal Way,
Washington,
by previous Council action had directed that city
administration a~ staff take all steps necessary to assume the
Federal Way Water and Sewer District, and

WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way City Council now finds
that
circumstances warrant that the
City's
assumption of
the
District not go forward at this time; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.
Repealer/Ordinance.
Ordinance No. 92-151 of
the
City
of
Federal
Way,
Washington,
announcing
the
city's
intention to file application with the Boundary Review Board(s) and
to assume the Federal Way Water and Sewer District is hereby
repealed.
section 2.
Repealer/Resolution.
Resolution No. 93-159
of the city of Federal Way,
Washington,
confirming the City's

94-210

intention to assume the Federal Way Water and Sewer District and
specifically authorizing the City's filing with the pierce County
Boundary Review Board is hereby repealed.
Section 3.
Authorization.
The city Manager, the city
Attorney and/or their designees are authorized to take all steps
necessary to carry out the intent of this ordinance.
Section 4.
Ratification.
Any act consistent with the
authority and prior to the effective date of this ordinance is
hereby ratified and affirmed.
section 5.
Effective Date.
This ordinance shall be
effective thirty (30) days after passage as provided by law.
