ORDINANCE NO. 94-215
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY'S CRIMINAL CODE
TO CORRECT A SCRIVENER'S ERROR IN ADOPTING BY
REFERENCE THE STATE LAW WHICH PROHIBITS
TELEPHONE CALLS TO HARASS, INTIMIDATE, TORMENT
OR EMBARRASS. (AMENDS ORDINANCE NUMBER 91-89
AND FEDERAL WAY CITY CODE SECTION 6-186)
WHEREAS,
the
Federal
City
Council
finds
Way
that
this
ordinance is in the interest of the public's health, safety and
welfare, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, DO
section 1.
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Amendment.
Federal Way city Code section 6-
186 is amended as follows:
Sec. 6-186.
The following state statutes, including all future amendments,

The invalidity of any clause,
paragraph,
subdivision,
or portion of this
section,

shall not affect the validity of the
remainder of the ordinance, or the validity of its application to
other persons or circumstances.
section 3.
Ratification.
Any act consistent with the
authority and prior to the effective date of this ordinance is
hereby ratified and affirmed.
section 4.
Effective Date.
This
ordinance
shall
be
effective thirty (30) days after passage as provided by law and of
the publication of an approved summary consisting of the title
hereto.
