Council Candidate Interviews for Position No.6

As you are aware, the interviews for the Council Position No.6 vacancy are scheduled for tomorrow,
Tuesday, January 9, starting at 3:00 p.m., in Council Chambers. I will arrange for food to be served
during the special meeting. I have attached copies of the eleven (11) candidate applications.
This morning I conducted a random lot drawing, with the assistance of Sun So from Human Resources, which
established the following order of appearance and interview time for each candidate:

In accordance with the Council Rules of Procedure, Section 22.4(5), each candidate will be allowed no more
than twenty (20) minutes.
Candidates will have up to five (5) minutes to present his/her credentials to the Council, followed by a
predetermined set of questions established by the Councilmembers; each candidate will have up to two (2)
minutes in which to respond to each of those questions. Any remaining time will allow an informal question
and answer period, in which the Council may ask and receive answers to miscellaneous questions.
I will provide a copy of the predetermined set of questions tomorrow, just prior to the commencement of the
candidate interviews.
