RESOLUTION NO. 89-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL
BAY, related to standing committees of the City Council,
establishing standing committees.
WHEREAS, RCW 35A.12 authorizes the City Council to
determine its own rules and order of business, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public
interest to adopt standing committees for the purpose of research,
acquiring information, and formulating positions on issues of
concern to the City of Federal Way, and which lead to committee
recommendations to the Council as a Qhole; now,therefore:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Standing Committees. The city Council
establishes the following standing committees: (a) Public
Services (police, fire, streets, utilities, and the like); (b)
!..and Use and Transportation Planning; (c) Parks, Recreation, and
Cultural Affairs; (d) Human Services; (e) Finance and Budget;
and (f) Facilities and Personnel.
Section 2. Number of Standing Committee Members,
Appointment. Standing committees shall consist of three (3)
members of the Council. The members and chair of each standing
committee shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by
Council.
Section 3. All Council committees will disband on October
5, 1990 unless specifically authorized to continue by majority
vote of Council.

Fashinton this 2nd day of October, 1989 and signed in
