Res 89-003 ~ -,--' -~'- -- RESOLUTION NO. 89-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, related to the support of a ballot proposition, supporting a King County proposition extending E-911 services an additional six (6) years. WHEREAS, in 1983 the voters of King County approved the E- 911 ballot proposition, which provided for E-911 services for a period of six (6) years, and, WHEREAS, the city Council finds that E-911 services have contributed in an extraordinary manner to public, safety and welfare and should be continued, and WHEREAS, the voters of King County will be asked to approve a six (6) year extension of the E-911 system at the general election to be held on November 7, 1989, and the City Council finds that it is in the public interest to support such ballot proposition; now, therefore: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: section 1. The City Council of the City of Federal Way unanimously supports King County Proposition One, which will be placed on the ballot for the general election of November 7, 1989, and which provides for a six (6) year extension of E-911 services at a rate of up to forty-five cents ($.45) per telephone line per month. section 2. The city Council urges all voters of King County to give favorable consideration to this ballot proposition.
