A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING A
PROCEDURE FOR NOTIFYING THE PUBLIC OF UPCOMING
HEARINGS AND THE PRELIMINARY AGENDA FOR CITY
COUNCIL MEETINGS.
WHEREAS,
State
law
requires
that
the
city
shall
establish
a
procedure
for
notifying the public
of
upcoming
hearings and the preliminary agenda for the forthcoming Council
meetings, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE
CITY
COUNCIL
OF
THE
CITY
OF
FEDERAL
WAY,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.
Notification of Upcominq Hearings.
In
addition to any other notification requirements required by State
law
or
city
ordinance,
additional
notice
to
the
public
of
upcoming hearings shall be provided by posting a notice of said
public hearing at City Hall and by providing written notification
to the city's official newspaper.
In the event State law or city
ordinance requires publication of a notice in the City's official
newspaper,
said publication shall
satisfy the requirement of
written notice to the City's official newspaper contained in this
resolution.

Notification tn the Public of Preliminary
Aqendas for Forthcoming Council Meetinqs.
Preliminary agendas of
forthcoming Council meetings shall be posted at City Hall and
shall be provided to the City's official newspaper.

The city Council finds that the foregoing
procedure for notifying the public of upcoming hearings and the
preliminary agenda for forthcoming Council meetings satisfies the
intent of the requirements of State law.
