RESOLUTION NO. 90-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, STATING THE
COUNCIL'S INTENT TO HONOR THE RIGHT-OF-WAY USE
PERMIT EXPECTED TO BE ISSUED BY KING COUNTY TO
THE SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF FEDERAL WAY FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF FLAG POLES, LIGHTING AND
NECESSARY APPURTENANCES ALONG SOUTH WEST CAMPUS
DRIVE, BETWEEN F~RST AVENUE SOUTH AND 21ST
AVENUE SOUTH WEST.
WHEREAS,
Soroptimist International of Federal Way is
seeking authority from King County to erect flag poles, lighting
and necessary appurtenances on both sides of S. W. Campus Drive,
from First Avenue South to 21st Avenue S. W., and
WHEREAS,
the
City
Council
desires
to
indicate
its
intent
for
said
facilities
to
remain
as
located
after
incorporation through the end of calendar year 1990 subject to
certain conditions, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE
CITY
COUNCIL
OF
THE
CITY
OF
FEDERAL
WAY,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.
City Council hereby states its intent to
honor and to issue necessary permits for the maintenance of flag
poles,
lighting
and
necessary
appurtenances
by
Soroptimist
International of Federal Way on bo~h sides of S.

from First Avenue South to 21st Avenue S. W.
,
incorporation through December 31, 1990.
W. Campus Drive,
from the date of
section
2.
The
statement
of
intent
contained
in
section 1
is hereby specifically conditioned upon Soroptimist

International
of
Federal
Way
providing
proof
of
insurance,
insuring against bodily
inj ury and/ or property damage in the
amount of $1,000,000 for bodily injury per occurrence and in the
aggregate and $1,000,000 for property damage per occurrence and
in the aggregate.
Said insurance shall provide that it may not
be cancelled without sixty (60) days prior notice to the City,
shall name the City as an additional insured and shall be primary
as to any other insurance available to the City.
RESOLVED this 23rd day of January, 1990.
