Res 91-055 RESOLUTION NO. 91-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, RELATING TO REPRESENTATION ON THE MUNICIPALITY OF METROPOLITAN SEATTLE COUNCIL. WHEREAS, State law establishes qualifications for membership on the Metropolitan council whereby a city with a population of 15,000 or more is entitled to one representative and each city with a population of 65,000 or more is entitled to one additional representative for each 50,000 population over and above the first 15,000; and WHEREAS, the most recent official population determination from the Office of Financial Management establishes the City of Federal Way's population at 67,304; and WHEREAS, the City requested another representative on the Metro Council and the Chair of the Metro Council determined that the City is entitled to another representative; and WHEREAS, the City Council must designate its representatives on the Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the city of Federal Way as follows: section 1. The City of Federal Way is eligible to have two representatives on the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle Council. section 2. The city Council designates the following councilmembers as its representatives to the Metro Council: 1. Debra Ertel 2.
