RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, OPPOSING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
THIRD RUNWAY AT SEA-TAC AIRPORT.

WHEREAS,
Puget
Sound Air Transportation Committee
is
considering a recommendation to address air capacity needs of the
region; and
WHEREAS,
one
of
the
proposed
configurations
under
consideration would add a commuter runway or a dependent runway for
commercial air carriers; and
WHEREAS,
the
addition
of
any
runways
would
have
a
significant negative impact upon the community of Federal Way; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FEDERAL WAY HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.
The Federal Way city Council opposes the
addition of runways at Sea-Tao Airport.
