A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, EXTENDING
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CITIZENS OF THE NEW
CITY OF BURIEN.
WHEREAS,
the
residents
of
Burien
voted
on
Tuesday,
March 10, 1992, to incorporate; and
WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way reluctantly bids goodbye
to its position as one of the newest cities
in the State of
Washington; and
WHEREAS, Federal Way welcomes the city of Burien to the
challenges and rewards of forming a new city; and
WHEREAS, Federal Way looks forward to the addition of a
new city voice on issues of regional concern to municipalities;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council of the City of Federal Way extends its
heartiest congratulations
to the citizens
of
the new City of
Burien.
