A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 90-l6 RELATING TO ESTABLISHING
A SMALL WORKS ROSTER PROCESS FOR AWARDING
PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS.
WHEREAS,
the
City Council
of
the
City of
Federal
Way,
Washington,
has
previously
adopted
Resolution
No.
90-16
to
establish a small works roster process for awarding public works
contracts; and
WHEREAS, the Washington state legislature adopted RCW
35.22.620 which provides for the creation of small works rosters by
cities whenever the estimated cost of work is one hundred thousand
dollars ($100,000) or less; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Federal Way desires to repeal
Resolution No. 90-16 because of the existence of RCW 35.22.620; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Federal Way finds
such repealer be in the best interest of the City of Federal Way;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
section 1
Repealer.
Resolution No.
90-16,
adopted
February 13, 1990, is repealed.
section 2
Ratification.
Any act consistent with the
authority and prior to the effective date of the resolution is
hereby ratified and affirmed.
section 3
Effective Date.
This resolution shall be
effective immediately upon passage by the Federal Way city Council.
