RESOLUTION NO. 95-22l
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, DESJ:GNATJ:NG THE
DISTRIBUTION OF 1996 HUMAN SERVICES DIVISION
FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the issue of distribution of 1996 Human Services
Division funds having been considered by the Federal Way Human
Services commission on July 10, July 17, July 24, August 14, August
21,
and September 11,
1995 for the purpose of review and the
issuance of a recommendation to the Public Safety/Human Services
Committee of the Federal Way city Council; and
WHEREAS, this matter having been considered by the Public
Safety/Human Services committee on October 5, 1995, at which time
that committee voted to make a recommendation for approval by the
full City Council; and
WHEREAS, on October 17, 1995 the full council approved
the recommendations; and
WHEREAS,
the appropriation level remains at $382,000
during the budget deliberations process;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL
WAY HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS::

Distribution
of
Funds
Authorized.
The
distribution of Human Services Program Funds ("Funds") as provided
in
Attachment
A,
attached
hereto
and
incorporated
by
this
reference, is hereby approved.
Funds not expended by December 3l,
1996 shall be retained by the city of Federal Way.

Section 2.
Severability.
If any section, sentence, clause or
phrase
of
this
resolution
should
be
held
to
be
invalid
or
unconstitutional
by
a
court
of
competent
jurisdiction,
such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase
of this resolution.

Ratification.
Any act
consistent with the
authority and prior to the effective date of the resolution is
hereby ratified and affirmed.

Effective
Date.
This
resolution
shall
be
effective immediately upon passage by the Federal Way City Council.
